Storms a Brewin' at Heart and Home

Hello, it's Outdoor Wednesday,
welcome back!

It's day six of a migraine marathon...
one of those days when I don't feel I'm able to accomplish a whole lot.

On days like this little Miss Maggie
usually keeps a close eye on me.

If I have the energy,
I'll grab some of my magazines to browse through,
and head for one of my favorite spots
 outside on the covered deck.

Some refreshing iced tea, and a little snack
sometime help when I'm feeling low.

I'd love to catch up with Martha, and see what the latest styles are --,
but no reading, just looking at pictures today!
I'll try this for a little while -
until the throbbing in my poor head subsides.

Usually, it's pretty peaceful out here, with a cool ocean breeze,
and birdsong and squirrel chatter to accompany me.
But not today.

Today there is a storm blustering outside.

The rain is coming down really hard,
and the wind is blowing strong.

The weather outside is comparable to the storm
that's been raging inside my head since last Thursday.

The wind nearly blew me over as I tried to take a picture of our creek.
It was completely dry last night , but now it's flowing fast with rain run-off..
Time to hunker down with a hot cup of tea
and a snuggly blanket,
light a fire, and wait it out -- until both these storms pass.

Thanks for the visit. It means so much to me that you stopped by. I'll be back soon, hope you will be, too. Thanks to Susan at A Southern Daydreamer, for sponsoring Outdoor Wednesday.

Until next time,
XO
Heidi

I used to get migraines for days at a time. Not anymore... but I will still get one when the barometric pressure changes.

I always know when we are having a Tornado Warning!

Hope you feel better!

Oh, Heidi, I feel so bad for you. I don't get migraines or even headaches much but I can feel the pain in your words. What an analogy you made with the storms.

I heard sleep is the besrt thing for migraines. Does that help??

Sorry that you have migraines. My daughter has them. Rain here again today - someone needs to turn the faucets off for a while.
Hope you feel better real soon.

Oh Heidi...I'm so sorry about your migraine. I get them too, as does my 10 year old son with the accompanying nausea). Maybe the storm affected it too? I hope it goes away soon....thinking happy thoughts for you!
peace.

I am so sorry and can relate! Usually When I take my Migraine meds and go back to bed for a bit, I am able to function better. (Like yesterday!)
Please take care and don't move your head suddenly and bend down low.:)
Your pictures reflect your spirits and I hope they are sailing 'sunny' again soon. Thank Goodness for sweet Maggie at your side.:)

Bless your heart~♥

So sorry about your migrain, Heidi...I've had them, but never for 6 days. Its nice, though, that you have your sweet puppy and beautiful home to comfort you at times like this. Hope you're feeling well soon.
God bless,
Mary

I'm sorry to hear about the migraine. I love the pictures of the storm. It adds a bit of melancholy and mystery to your post. I hope you are having a wonderful day.
