A Heart and Home Walk - in the Pink!

Good morning! It's Pink Saturday!

Walking early Saturday morning, I admire the lush gardens in the surrounding neighborhoods.

An abundance of pink roses and colorful impatiens enliven this front porch:

The faintest touch of pink dusts the edges of these luscious white roses:

and tall, skinny "naked ladies" are bunched together, looking quite regal:

"Naked" or not, they have happy faces!

I come upon more lovely pink roses, climbing among the grape vines and rambling along a fence.

Like the grapes, these roses look good enough to eat!

Spying a dwarf apple tree, I'm surprised by the color of the fruit:

which, upon closer inspection

is most definitely PINK, each apple blushing in the sun.

But that's no surprise to my sweet new friend, who lives among the plants and trees...

.....here in this lovely neighborhood among the redwoods.
A special posting for Pink Saturday, at How Sweet the Sound. Thank you Beverly!

Until next time,
XO
Heidi

  4. Beautiful area you have to meander around through, Heidi. We have friends in Pollock Pines, and love visiting there, then on to Tahoe. Those apples sure look good! These are such pretty pinks, but I think I love the kitty best!

    Happy Pink Saturday!

  5. Hi Heidi!!

Wonderful pictures and gorgeous flowers!! I'd be taking a walk every morning!! :-)

I love pale blush roses. I recently saw a bride carrying them and they looked magnificent with her gown. I never heard of "naked ladies" until I started blogging. Love them, but I don't think I can grow them in my climate. I also like the climbing roses, thinking about planting some next summer by a stone wall I have, and I looked at the apple tree and thought they were peaches!! lol!!

Have a great weekend, my friend!!

  14. OH!! I get so excited when my Naked Ladies come up! They are magic flowers, aren't they!

I'll tell you how to scale down.
Move to a smaller house. Yes
Try one half the size of yours!
There are still things I think of (after almost 4 years!) that I recall and wonder what I was thinking when I gave it away.
