Hello my friends.
Special Christmas greetings to all of you,
from Heart and Home!
Although it's been much quieter around here this year,
I have been
baking, and shopping, and decorating and wrapping,
and cooking, and singing,
and cherishing our time-honored German Christmas traditions
with my husband and daughters.
I want to share some of the spririt of the season with you today.
But, since I've been a bit short on words lately,
I hope you'll enjoy these from one of my favorite holiday songs:
"Christmas time is here,
happiness and cheer,
fun for all
that children call
their favorite time of year.
Snow flakes in the air,
carols everywhere,
olden times
and ancient rhymes
and love and dreams to share.
Sleighbells in the air,
beauty everywhere,
yuletide
by the fireside
and joyful memories there.
Christmas time is here;
we'll be drawing near;
oh that we
could always see
such spirit through the year."
(Vince Guaraldi)
Thank you for stopping by,
Wishing you and yours a most wonderful Christmas,
and the blessing of a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year!
Until next time,
XO
Heidi
